Tally Mark Calligraphy was created out of a lifelong love of letters
Hey, I’m Hannah, the pens and passion behind Tally Mark Calligraphy! I’m so glad you’re here and can’t wait to create something amazing for you.
I’ve been specializing in hand lettering and calligraphy since 2013. Lettering and calligraphy have become an expression of where I am in my life, a way to process my experiences.
My art is driven by my desire to connect with people, listen to their journey, and help them feel their best selves. I believe getting to know people and making them feel seen is our greatest gift to each other.
My lettering began with gift tags, cards, and prints for friends and family. I noticed how touched the receiver would be seeing their own name written in calligraphy or their favorite words made beautiful & tangible. When I saw how mixing someone’s words and my art connected with people, I knew I had something special. And so, Tally Mark Calligraphy was born.
Why Tally Mark?
When I was naming my business, I wanted something simple, creative, and not directly tied to my name. My married name is Hannah Holt - HH.
As I was sketching some ideas, I noticed HH, when written, looks like a tally mark. I loved the aesthetic and simplicity of a tally mark and felt it was the perfect name to get behind.
The art of calligraphy helps you put intention behind already extraordinary events: seating charts at a wedding, hand engraved fragrances at a brand launch, or a custom mural for the holiday season; the possibilities are endless.
The magic of elegant lettering holds the power of connection, making anyone feeling valued and seen. Giving attention to the smaller details through custom work shows the thoughtfulness you have for your guests and clients, .
A little about me personally before you go:
I’m currently in Las Vegas, but originally from Baltimore, MD!
I love camping, climbing, hiking, or anything else that gets me outside.
In our spare time, my husband, Elijah, and I try to check out as much local stuff as we can: restaurants, art, entertainment. We love supporting our community in every way possible.
