This year’s Las Vegas Chapter Wedding Industry Professional Association’s (WIPA) first quarterly event for 2023, was a Bridgerton themed lunch event. And let me tell you, all the vendors understood the assignment. Putting together all the stationary pieces, I was getting so excited to see everything together, but I could not be prepared for incredible everything came together the day of the event. I couldn’t take enough pictures of everything! Fortunately, Amber of Amber and Co. Photography took care of that for us!
Calligraphy details aren’t just for weddings. Corporate and business events (like this one!) are a great opportunity to incorporate some special details. Any event with the goal of connecting with your guests and letting them know they’re appreciated are an excellent platform to use calligraphy and hand lettering. It’s a personal touch that doesn’t go unnoticed - hand lettered place cards, a personal note as the table center piece. There are plenty of ways to bring the theme together through the details. I walk you through a couple here:
The Details
There are so many incredible details to showcase from this event, but we’ll focus on the work I provided with some additional photos of the full event in between. Each place setting got their own menu with a hand calligraphed title. This is a great way to save on your stationary budget, but still adding a bit of luxe by having your menus printed, but getting the title or the guests’ names hand written on the printed menu.
In addition to the menus, we had Bridgerton quotes at each guest table, dessert table, and seating areas. It was a great way to personalize each space and pull in the Bridgerton theme in an elegant way. It complimented the floral centerpieces so perfectly!
Details like place cards, menus, and other signage are the best way to tell a story
One thing I always ask my clients when we’re discussing the details of their wedding or event is “how do you want your guests to feel?”. When creating an event you want to create a vibe or tell a story to elevate the experience for your guests and have them walking away feeling inspired, loved, entertained, or whatever other feeling you want to convey.
